Expressions of interest are invited to be included on an approved persons list for potential panel appointments.

The Optometry Board of Australia calls optometrists and community members to participate. Interested parties need to complete the relevant documentation and return to the Board by Friday 30 March 2012.

The Board is responsible for the registration of optometrists, setting professional standards and managing notifications (complaints) against optometrists. Through the notifications process the Board may form Health Panels and Performance & Professional Standards Panels, using the approved persons list. The approved persons for panel appointments will be called upon if the need arises to appoint a panel. If called upon, panel members will be paid a daily rate listed in the application package.
