The Board’s continuing professional development registration standard allows for optometrists to meet the standard through a self-accredited program combining accredited and non-accredited CPD activities.
Optometrists should refer to this registration standard and the Board’s guidelines on continuing professional development for endorsed and non-endorsed optometrists for guidance on the eligibility of any non-accredited activities and providers of overseas activities. These documents also provide information on the calculation of CPD points and the classification of activities within the educational framework.
The following tables list particular local and overseas providers and activities that will be generally eligible to meet the Board’s CPD requirements. It is not exhaustive and will be updated as required.

In many cases, the Australian-based activities have not been accredited because the provider has not applied for accreditation, or the activity was self-directed.
